Deandra Garcia (she, her, hers) is a Program Advisor at CWEE. In this role she provides support to low-income parents on their path to self-sufficiency, which she accomplishes by listening to and understanding their unique needs and barriers. Deandra is a team player and is looking forward to building positive, collaborative relationships with coworkers and participants in support of CWEE’s work and mission.
Prior to joining CWEE, Deandra worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years, serving as the Operations and Bar Manager. Some of her duties included managing daily operations, supervising bar staff, and ensuring health code compliance. While holding that position Deandra demonstrated success in providing excellent customer service and building relationships with restaurant patrons and business representatives alike.
In addition to her role at CWEE, Deandra is active in the community, serving as a weekly volunteer at her local food bank, which is where her passion for helping became her calling. To foster that passion for service, Deandra attended several Human Services and Technical Skills Training Programs, including a service provider training at the Financial Health Institute. She is excited to utilize the skills she has learned to support her community!
In her free time, Deandra enjoys camping, fishing, and travelling.
