Invest in Parents' Potential
Since our founding in 1982, CWEE has supported career-seeking, low-income parents in the Metro Denver community as they overcome significant barriers to succeed in long-term employment. Today, over 40 years later, the need for CWEE’s innovative workforce development program continues to rise.
This year, we will serve more than 1,000 career seekers as they take the next steps towards a better future for themselves and their families. To create an environment that serves as a catalyst for change, CWEE provides essential supports for low-income, career seeking parents that extends beyond traditional workforce development models to include holistic support to meet participants’ needs and help them achieve their dreams.
On the road to these dreams, CWEE’s participants face many intersectional barriers as they pursue employment:
- 61% do not have childcare
- 71% do not have stable housing
- 38% do not have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 50% have experienced or are still experiencing domestic violence
- 57% report struggling with depression, anxiety, and/or PTSD
