Teamwork
Begins Here.
Share Your Professional Expertise
CWEE’s employer partners and volunteers play an integral role in expanding industry- and workplace-focused learning opportunities for our career seekers.
By serving as guest speakers, leading educational workshops, and regularly engaging with our graduating and job-searching participants, employer engagement infuses every aspect of CWEE’s workforce development program.
Here are some opportunities at CWEE to share your industry and professional expertise.
Be a Guest Speaker
Guest speakers at CWEE represent a wide variety of industries and bring diverse expertise. As a result, we are able to offer our participants dynamic, engaging programming that reflects the latest economic and industry trends.
Guest speakers work with CWEE staff to develop a relevant presentation topic that both leverages their expertise and aligns with CWEE’s employment preparation learning objectives.
Host an Educational Workshop
Workshops at CWEE cover a broad array of topics, depending on the expertise of the presenter and the needs of our participants. Educational workshops are topic-focused or industry-specific.
Past workshop topics have included strategies to present a criminal background to a potential employer, information about short-term certificate and credential programs, examining local industry and economic trends, and others.
Employer Meet-and-Greets
For CWEE participants who are close to graduation or job searching, we organize regular meet-and-greet opportunities with employers. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, CWEE is operating virtually and there are no meet-and-greets scheduled for the remainder of 2020.
