Savanna (they/them/theirs) is CWEE’s Director of Development. In this role, Savanna leads the material resourcing of CWEE’s programs, from funds to volunteer support to sharing our story. Savanna brings a community-centric lens to our development work, aiming to grow a collective sense of solidarity, reciprocity, and responsibility to one another. Prior to joining CWEE, Savanna worked in development roles at various local nonprofits with missions including environmental justice, youth development, community care, and animal welfare.
Savanna was born and raised in metro Denver and graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in English.
In addition to their role at CWEE, Savanna is active in their community, organizing around environmental, labor, and transgender issues. You’re bound to find them and their dog, Toony, meandering the Highline Canal.
