Important Update for Denver participants
Due to contract changes with our partners at the City and County of Denver, all Denver participants’ case management will be returned to Denver county by June 15, 2026. If you are a Denver participant and have questions about these changes, please reach out to your program advisor. There will be no changes for Arapahoe participants.

Don’t forget! Timesheets are due at the end of each month. You can fill out your timesheet anytime using the link below. If you have any questions, please contact your Program Advisor for support.

We’ll present STAR Awards and share poems and special shoutouts to recognize the great work happening across our CWEE community – and enjoy some lunch! FFN Workshop: Childcare, Cookies and Connection
CWEE is excited to announce the upcoming FFN Workshop: Childcare, Cookies and Connection, designed to connect families with caregivers in their own community in a welcoming and informative space. The event is open to all participants, and attendees are encouraged to invite family, friends, and neighbors to join. Caregivers will also have the opportunity to learn about a potential $1,200 tax credit and get their questions answered. Download the flyer to learn more about this event. Resources Workshops: Transportation, Housing, & Food
CWEE is hosting workshops to help participants build skills and access resources. These workshops will focus on self-advocacy, communication, and self-regulation and will be hosted by Renee Kleck, CWEE’s Social Emotional Learning Facilitator. All participants are welcome to join! All sessions are 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Drop-In Support from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. RSVP to rkleck@cwee.org. Upcoming Dates:

Guided Job Search Support Labs
These guided labs provide hands-on job search support for participants who have completed Career Kickstart or Career Readiness and are still seeking employment. The CWEE Education & Employment team will be available to help with applications, job search strategies, and overcoming barriers to employment. Participants can attend one or multiple sessions based on needs. Tuesday, 4/28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at CWEE. RSVP: Registration Link
Resume Workshop
This workshop offers both an overview of resume best practices and dedicated time for hands-on resume development. Participants will receive guidance on strengthening their resumes and tailoring them to job opportunities. This session is open to Career Readiness completers, participants who are job searching, Community Program participants and anyone needing additional resume support as they move forward in their job search. Register for Classes & Learn English at CCD
The Community College of Denver is hosting an information and registration event for its Adult Education and English Language Learning programs. Prospective students can explore available classes, including English and Year to Career programs, and get help signing up for summer courses. Attendees can ask questions, connect with staff, and take the next step toward their educational goals. Free parking and light refreshments will be provided, and children are welcome. Free Vaccination Clinics at the Mexican Consulate
Servicios de la Raza, in collaboration with the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment, is offering free vaccination clinics for uninsured children and adults, as well as children with Medicaid. Participants can receive routine vaccines and get their questions answered by on-site nurses in a welcoming setting. These clinics are a great opportunity to protect your health and stay up to date on important immunizations. Ukraine Aid Fund invites the community to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day at a lively Ukrainian Festival filled with music, food, and tradition. $200 Stipend Added to May Job Search Accelerator
Climb Hire is excited to share a new update for the May Job Search Accelerator program. Every participant will receive a $200 stipend to help cover costs like childcare, transportation, or time away from your other responsibilities. Free Summer Enrichment for DPS Middle School Students
My Spark is offering DPS families access to free summer and after-school programs that help students explore interests and build confidence. Eligible middle school students can receive a $1,000 virtual debit card to use on approved activities like sports, arts, tutoring, and STEM programs. Launch Your Future This Summer
The Denver Public Schools Launch Internship Program gives high school students the chance to turn classroom learning into real-world experience through hands-on partnerships with local companies and nonprofits. Running 6/8–7/17, students complete 110 hours, earn 10 elective credits, and may qualify for up to a $1,600 education fellowship grant. With in-person, virtual, and hybrid options available, it’s a flexible way to explore future career paths and build valuable skills. Mayor’s YouthWorks Hiring Fair
The Mayor’s YouthWorks Hiring Fair is a chance for youth to meet employers, explore career paths, and learn about paid apprenticeships that pay while gaining real-world experience. It’s recommended to have a resume on-hand and youth will be able to ask questions and connect with companies actively looking for talent. This event is all about guidance, opportunity, and opening doors.

Apply Now for El Sistema Colorado’s FREE Summer String Festival
String musicians in late elementary, middle, and high school are invited to apply for El Sistema Colorado’s FREE Summer String Festival, a six day intensive from July 20 to 25, 2026. Students will take part in orchestra rehearsals, wellness sessions, music electives, and performances while exploring leadership and personal artistry. No audition is required, but a teacher or mentor reference must be included. Space is limited! Students should apply soon.

Free CSU Youth Sport Camps for Summer 2026
CSU Youth Sport Camps are back for a fun-filled summer at Colorado State University Spur in Denver! Designed for kids ages 5–13, camps run weekly Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., June 1–August 14 (no camp the week of June 29), and include sports, hands-on learning about animals, food, and water, plus a special field trip to Fort Collins. The program is free, with priority given to students who live or attend school in the 80216 zip code. A $50 deposit is required upon registration and will be fully refunded after the child finishes the camp.
