Volunteer Spotlight: Keelyn Hutchison
From the First Impressions Boutique to the High School Equivalency classroom, CWEE’s volunteers make a huge impact in the lives of our participants. They help participants create polished resumes, provide mock interviews, host professional clothing drives, and more.
As Volunteer Appreciation Month comes to a close, we would like to say thank you to all of our fabulous volunteers who dedicate their time to help advance CWEE’s mission.
CWEE volunteer Keelyn Hutchison was kind enough to share about her CWEE experience. Keelyn is originally from St. Louis and works at Rocky Mountain Human Services, another Colorado nonprofit. At CWEE, Keelyn volunteers as a mock interviewer and is a member of CWEE’s Leadership Council.

What inspired you to get involved at CWEE?
I first learned about CWEE after attending its annual fundraiser event back in 2016. I moved to Denver in 2015 and had been looking for a way to get involved in the community. I was so moved by the stories I heard from CWEE alumni that day, so CWEE seemed like the natural choice.
What is your favorite part about volunteering with CWEE?
The participants. Everyone I have worked with is so grateful for CWEE’s support. They all want to better themselves which inspires me to always seek personal improvement in my life.
What impact do you hope to make at CWEE?
I hope to bring encouragement to CWEE’s participants and help build their confidence. More specifically, as a member of CWEE’s Leadership Council, I strive to spread CWEE’s message to the community and find ways to financially support its mission.
What do you want others to know about CWEE?
The measurable impact CWEE has on the lives it improves!
Thank you for your dedication, Keelyn! And thank you again to all of our volunteers. With your commitment, CWEE continues to pave a path to long-term employment and self-sufficiency for hundreds of Denver-area families each year.
