Shannon Smith (she, her, hers) is one of CWEE’s Career Advisors. In this role Shannon is responsible for helping CWEE participants on their path to self-sufficiency by supporting their efforts to find quality employment.
Prior to joining CWEE Shannon worked in the education field as an advisor helping students struggling academically earn their high school diplomas. In 2020 Shannon graduated from Western Governors University (WGU) with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies and is currently working on a master’s degree in education at WGU.
In addition to her role at CWEE, Shannon has dedicated over twenty years working with underserved communities in various roles and has a commitment to helping people reach their personal and professional goals. As a former CWEE graduate and Silver Flame recipient working at CWEE has a very personal and special meaning to Shannon.
During her free time Shannon loves spending time with her family, reading and watching mysteries, attending plays and live performances, and dining out with friends.
