Sarah (she/her/hers) is completing Work-Based Learning at CWEE in this Social & Emotional Learning role to get certified in Peer Support. In this role, Sarah will be completing a training program with CMWN (Colorado Mental Wellness Network) to complete her certification. She will also be working closely with the Wellness staff at CWEE to further enhance her knowledge and experience in Peer Support.
Sarah is a current CWEE participant and brings her lived experience, as well as her passion for nonprofits and her genuine want to help others in support of CWEE’s work and mission. Prior to joining CWEE, Sarah worked in the Healthcare industry, serving as an Admissions Specialist assisting patients match with dialysis centers.
Sarah attended Aims Community College, where she initially studied Nursing but later changed to Education. After experiencing a very low period in her life, she realized her passion lied within helping others and wanting to genuinely make a difference.
Sarah is a Colorado native, raised primarily in the Thornton/Brighton area. She has five amazing kids, 4 boys and 1 girl that range in age from 1 to 17 years old. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her kids, crocheting, DIY projects (she’s currently refinishing/repainting some furniture for her new house), reading, and eating!
