Kay Groover (she, her, hers) serves as one of CWEE’s TANF Specialists. In this role, Kay is responsible for assisting participants maintain their compliance with TANF and distributing resources as needed for participants to reach their goals. Kay brings a passion for service and excitement to walk alongside families in their individual paths. She believes that growth is best inspired by unconditional support and patience; she hopes to use this approach to aid CWEE participants.
Prior to joining CWEE, Kay worked as a Case Manager for Community Sentencing at TEEM in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There she supported a caseload of 150 participants by helping them maintain their court compliance, access resources ensuring their wellbeing, and navigate upcoming court dates. Also in Oklahoma, Kay served as an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Corrections.
Kay received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus of Human Rights at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In her free time, Kay enjoys reading, weightlifting, and trying new restaurants with her partner. She is new to Colorado and is excited to find some new hobbies in Colorado’s outdoors.
