Career Readiness Programming: Our new program is a 12-day in-person program that will provide engaging and supportive classes focused on digital literacy, job readiness, and social emotional learning. Contact your Program Advisor if you’d like to learn more!

CWEE Happenings
Workshop: Money Skills
CWEE will be hosting a Money Skills Workshop on Thursday, 5/29 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is open to all participants and staff. This session will focus on improving credit and managing debt – important skills that can help you reach your financial goals and reduce stress. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve your current situation, this workshop offers practical tools to build confidence with money. Registration link will be shared two weeks before the workshop. Stay tuned!
CWEE’s Peer Support Group: Real Talk, Real Support, & Pizza
Need a space to connect? CWEE is hosting a bi-weekly drop-in peer support group for participants! Facilitated by Renee, CWEE’s Social Emotional Learning Facilitator, this is a confidential and welcoming space to talk about what’s going on in your life, share resources, and support one another. Come as you are! And yes, there will be pizza!
What: Participant Peer Support Group
When: Every other Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Upcoming Dates: 5/14, 5/28)
Where: The Wellness Suite at CWEE – 2nd floor across from the participant breakroom.
Who: All CWEE participants are welcome! If you missed a session, that’s okay. Come to any Wednesday group that works for you. Childcare isn’t available, but parents can bring their infants.
Pizza lunch provided!

DHA Housing Pre-Applications Open Soon!
Denver Housing Authority’s pre-application period is open Friday, 5/16 through Tuesday, 5/27. Apply online, get in-person help at 1401 Mariposa St in Denver, visit any DHA location during that time, or call 720-932-3021. You’ll need Social Security numbers for the head of household and spouse/co-head, plus total household income details. Only one application per household is allowed.

Explore Denver with the Explorer Pass
If you get Colorado Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, you and your family also get the Explorer Pass! You can get into many Denver area museums for $1-3. The Explorer Pass is built into your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. Just present your EBT card when buying tickets! Some places need reservations, or have coupon codes you can use online. Summer Rec Kidz at Denver Parks & Recreation
Kids ages 8 to 12 can join Summer Rec Kidz – a day program packed with fun, field trips, and themed activities, all summer long! From 6/16 though 8/8, youth can enjoy exciting onsite enrichments, make new friends, and explore their city. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is FREE with a MY Denver Card. The programs are held at 10 rec centers across Denver, with meals provided through the Tasty Food program. Don’t miss out on this ultimate summer adventure!

Aurora Public Schools’ Summer Experience
APS is offering a free, in-person summer school program for currently enrolled preschool through 8th-grade students! From 6/2 to 6/27, students can enjoy half-day academic learning (8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) plus optional before and after-school activities. Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp
Arapahoe/Douglas Works! and Developmental Pathways are presenting a no-cost Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp designed for young adults aged 14-18. This event will equip young adults with the knowledge and tools to succeed in finding a summer job and succeed in future job searches. Topics include career exploration, etiquette and self-advocacy in the workplace, interviewing, resume building, labor market information, and career pathway planning. Register soon! 2025 Denver Youth Employment Program
Youth ages 14-21 years old can earn up to $2,069 this summer and up to 110 paid hours of work experience. This program is for Denver residents attending school and meeting eligibility and low-income requirements.
