Career Readiness Programming: Our new program is a 12-day in-person program that will provide engaging and supportive classes focused on digital literacy, job readiness, and social emotional learning. Contact your Program Advisor if you’d like to learn more!

Did You Miss April’s Bagels & Bytes Workshops? We’ve Got You Covered!
Thanks to our amazing Americorps Digital Navigators, Katie and Natalie, the highlights from April’s digital skills workshops are now available in a handy cheat sheet! Whether you dropped by for bagels and learned the digital tools for transportation or couldn’t attend, you can use this cheat sheet to navigate buses, the metro, and even electric scooters. We appreciate Katie and Natalie for making this resource available!

Workshop: Learn About Climb Hire’s Program
Climb Hire will be at CWEE on Thursday, 5/1 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Climb Hire teaches in-demand technical skills along with people skills like building relationships and networking. These skills can lead to higher-paying jobs and help achieve professional growth. To be eligible for Climb Hire’s Program, participants must live in Colorado, make less than $30,000 per year, be between the ages of 24 and 40, and be authorized to work in the United States. Medicaid and Healthcare Support with CO Access!
CO Access representative Jeanine, CWEE’s former GED instructor, will be on-site weekly to provide guidance on Medicaid and navigating medical care. Want to earn a $25 gift card? Participants who review and test Medicaid materials will earn a $25 gift card for their time. The review takes about 20-25 minutes. These sessions will be held at CWEE on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
CWEE’s Peer Support Group: Real Talk, Real Support, & Pizza
Need a space to connect? CWEE is hosting a bi-weekly drop-in peer support group for participants! Facilitated by Renee, CWEE’s Social Emotional Learning Facilitator, this is a confidential and welcoming space to talk about what’s going on in your life, share resources, and support one another. Come as you are! And yes, there will be pizza!
What: Participant Peer Support Group
When: Every other Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Upcoming Dates: 4/30 and 5/14, 5/28)
Where: The Wellness Suite at CWEE – 2nd floor across from the participant breakroom.
Who: All CWEE participants are welcome! If you missed a session, that’s okay. Come to any Wednesday group that works for you. Childcare isn’t available, but parents can bring their infants.
Pizza lunch provided!

Depending on the site, you can shop in person, pick up through drive-thrus, or even get home deliveries if you qualify. Use this helpful list to find a convenient location near you. Hands of the Carpenter
Hands of the Carpenter serves working single moms by providing automotive service programs to help remove obstacles and barriers. Single moms are invited to apply for automotive services by filling out an application located on their website. They are currently offering a FREE oil change and evaluation for working single moms. This is a great chance to learn more about your vehicle.

Free or Low-Cost Vaccines
Through the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), eligible families are able to access recommended vaccines at no cost or low cost. These vaccines help protect babies, kids, and teens from preventable diseases. Search through 600+ offices, health centers, and agencies here. Aurora Housing Authority: Upcoming Waitlist Lottery
The lottery waitlist for several housing programs will officially open on Thursday, 5/1 at 12:00 p.m. and close on Saturday, 5/31 at 12:00 p.m. Apply online through the AHA RentCafe portal. Applications will not be accepted in person or by mail. Participants will be chosen through a computerized lottery.

Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp: Only 6 Spots Remain!
Arapahoe/Douglas Works! and Developmental Pathways are presenting a no-cost Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp designed for young adults aged 14-18. This event will equip young adults with the knowledge and tools to succeed in finding a summer job and succeed in future job searches. Topics include career exploration, etiquette and self-advocacy in the workplace, interviewing, resume building, labor market information, and career pathway planning. Register soon!
