Phase 1: Empowerment/Soft Skills

Communication, motivation, confidence building, money and time management, career exploration

Empowerment courses teach participants to believe in themselves and to more fully understand their personal value. Soft Skills courses teach participants healthy behaviors and attitudes to succeed in the workplace. Career exploration classes provide opportunities for participants to research and map out their educational and professional goals.

Phase 2: Computer Training

Typing, Microsoft Office, work culture, digital literacy, career research

Phase two focuses on computer and digital literacy, training CWEE’s participants for today’s workforce. Through online tutorials and instructor-led workshops, participants are provided an introduction to digital literacy, typing speed and accuracy, Microsoft Office, email etiquette, social media, and courses on work culture and goal setting.

Phase 3: Career Preparation

Cover letter and resume building, internet job search, mock interviews

Participants are provided with intensive career preparation services including effective job search training, resume and cover letter writing, mock interviewing, communication skills, appearance management and employment follow-up tips. After successful completion of this phase, participants enter an employment or education pathway.
